Each student is given individual attention and is encouraged to practice
at his/her own rate. If a student cannot practice certain postures, variations
and substitutions will be offered. Please call the studio if you are not sure
which class to attend. All classes include a deep relaxation component.
| Fundamentals Introduces basic
yoga poses and breath awareness. Good for newcomers to yoga, and for those who
wish to practice basics. | Level I
Includes an expanding variety of poses. Supported inversions are introduced. Vinyasa
(posture flow) is sometimes included. Those in good physical condition may begin
here. | Level II A wide variety
of poses (including inversions, arm balances, backbends, vinyasa) and pranayama.
Good physical condition needed. | Level
III Vigorous practice including vinyasa, inversions, backbends, arm balances,
pranayama. Good physical condition and at least one year yoga practice needed.
Anusara Inspired Flow
Postures (asana) are practiced in a flowing, connected, meditative style that
develops strength and stability first, flexibility second. Each class has
an uplifting heart-oriented theme.For Levels I,II,III; not Fundamentals |
Pre-Natal Class
Meets the special requirements of pregnant women. Women should not be past
the first two trimesters when they begin the class, but will benefit well into
the third trimester as they continue the class. No previous yoga experience
necessary
Pre-Natal Option
Women who have been practicing yoga at any level on a fairly consistent
basis before their pregnancy may attend certain regularly scheduled classes. Poses
are adjusted and substituted as pregnancy progresses. References available.

Mommy
& Me provides a safe and supportive environment for women to bond
with their babies while recovering from pregnancy and giving birth. Classes focus
on strengthening muscles that were stretched and weakened in the prenatal period,
as well as releasing new areas of tension with stretching. Appropriate for women
at least 6 weeks postpartum.No previous yoga experience necessary. Children
up to 3 years of age are welcome. Age appropriate songs and movement are taught.
Private
Sessions Available by appointment. Students who have never before had a
private session with Sandra can take advantage of a Summer Sale (see Payment) The
session will be designed to meet individual needs: therapeutic application, home
practice setup or intensification, interest in a particular aspect of asana or
